Remembrance Parade

Date: 13th Nov 2022 Author: Scout Websites

Every November all sections of Hambledon Village scouts, Cubs and Beavers participate in the village remembrance parade.

They all proudly march behind the band – usually provided by the sea cadets from the village hall to the church.

When they arrive at the church a representative from each unit will lay a wreath and the flag bearers will march into the church as part of the remembrance service.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
