Youth Programme

The core purpose for everything we do at Hambledon Village Scout group is to deliver a varied and fun programme for our youth members, where they can make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills. We go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing, but also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

Our badges and awards are part of what makes us Scouts, and they love earning them. They work together on badges at their weekly meetings, away at camps and events, or at home. Through our varied programme of activities, our aim for every member to have the opportunity to earn their challenge badges to complete their Chief Scout’s award before they finish in each section.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
