Beavers

Beavers is for boys and girls aged 6 to 8 and provides a fun environment where they learn new skills and meet new people. Beavers do a wide variety of activities from playing games and craft to hiking, climbing, camping and learning how to light a fire.

At Hambledon Beavers we run an interesting and varied programme of activities that link to the various challenge and activity badges, with the aim of completing their Chief Scout’s Bronze award by they time they are ready to move on to cubs.

Beavers meet on a Tuesday evening from 5:45 to 6:45, at Hambledon Village Hall. In the summer months we aim to spend as much time outside as the weather permits.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
