Scouts

Scouts is for boys and girls aged approx. 10 1/2 to 14 and provides a fun environment where they learn new skills and meet new people.

The group is based at the Village Hall in Hambledon. We create a supportive caring environment for the young people to develop their life skills. Living on the edge of the national park we have an ideal setting for outdoor activities such as, backwards camping and learning camp craft skills, we also hike and cycle., and visit the water for craft activities and swimming.

We undertake a mixed programme that involves visits i.e. to the Fire station and the Hindu temple as we undertake badges to achieve our Gold chief scout award.

Over the years we have been to multiple Hampshire county camps from Windermere to Dorset. We annually have a fun packed family camp open to all sections and their families this is held at our local scout campsite Lyons Copse.

This diverse and varied program means that many Scout have left the group moving on to Explorers after achieving their Chief Scout award, which is the highest they can. Around 10 of our Scouts have gone onto represent the UK at the last 4 World Jamborees and International camps.

Scouts meet on a Thursday evening at 7pm until 8:30 at Hambledon Village Hall, however we do run an active programme which often means we are out exploring, especially in the summer months.

Scouts Uniform & Badges

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
