A White Easter Eggstravaganza

This Sunday saw the annual Easter Eggstravaganza at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, which looked as though the weather was going to be kind to us as the children arrive to a fresh, but sunny morning. The activities started off with the judging of the decorated egg competition, which was won by Clanfield, followed by the egg and spoon race, where Matthew won the Hambledon heat to make it through to the final.

It was during the egg rolling competition that the weather took a rather surprising turn and the Beavers had to run for cover as the field turned white from the hail, which resulted in some very cool children and sadly the decision was made to finish the event early.

Hopefully the weather will be a bit kinder to us next year.DSC02662DSC02657
